Google introduces full-screen option for new compose window in Gmail

Google on Friday introduced a full-screen option for the new compose window in Gmail, giving email users more space to draft a message than what the previous stuck-to-the-bottom-right-corner option provided.
After enabling the full-screen option, the compose field appears centered in the inbox and expands to fit the screen by clicking the expand button on the top right.
Users can also permanently set the compose window to full screen by selecting "Default to full-screen" in the More Options menu on the bottom-right. In addition, with this full-screen option, formatting in the toolbar is on by default.

Google said this option was a much-requested feature from users who wanted more flexibility within the new compose window that rolled out for Gmail in March. The full-screen window option will roll out to everyone over the next couple of days.
