If you're someone who frequents the in and out of Gmail for Android, you may want to check Google Play. The folks in Mountain View have pushed the latest update, adding the ability to archive quickly or reply to messages right from a notification.
The new functionality has been added for Gmail on Android 4.1+ devices and quickens sorting through email, as long as you're not getting too much. We tested the feature, and it works quite well, though it's worth noting that replying launches the Gmail app separately and isn't done in line.
The Gmail update also introduces faster search and better search suggestions, both in online and offline modes. Google didn't go into specifics on how the search has improved - just that it has.
Sadly, Gmail for Android is still doing without the fancy new UI the iOS version of Gmail received only a few weeks ago. However, the new features for the Android version are pretty useful.
You can download the update on Google Play.
