Google has announced that it is scrapping the decision to abandon Google Video completely on 29 April, with a new migration tool also now in place making it easier to get your videos onto YouTube now available.

Google Video is still dead as a dodo, but concerns about lost footage have now been calmed as the deadline is no more and automatic video migration to YouTube will also take place.

And if you don't want to wait for the Big G to transfer your vids, you can do it yourself using the "Upload to YouTube" option on your Google Video status page.

You can also download your videos from Google Video to your hard-drive if you're really concerned about them getting lost in a webiverse black hole.
