Dropbox Android App official
Dropbox has confirmed the slip up yesterday over going early with the news about its new Android app, and launched, you guessed it, an Android version of its mobile app to sit next to the iPhone offering.
The new app, which is available to download via the Android Marketplace in the next couple of months, will allow dropbox users to connect to their storage space via phones like the HTC Hero, Motorola Milestone and the Samsung Galaxy.
Like the iPhone offering, you'll be able to make edits to your files and sync them back to Dropbox, download files for offline viewing and upload files and sync them to your Dropbox.
Dropbox acts like a personal FTP server that allows you to store files in "The Cloud" so you can easily share them with others or to your different devices.
The company has not said if there will be a cost to the app, however as the iPhone variant is free we suspect the Android flavoured offering will be too.
