Google has announced that its Street View service for Google Maps has covered a little bit more ground - especially the grounds of National Trust properties in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

20 locations were covered, including Corfe Castle in Dorset, Fountains Abbey in Yorkshire, Plas Newydd in Wales and Downhill Demesne in Northern Ireland. Lyme Park, where Pride & Prejudice was filmed, and Castle Drogo are also on a special page that Google has built to showcase the properties.

On other Street View news, the service has rolled out in Sweden and Denmark, and new imagery has been added in Taiwan, Italy and some sections of the United States - including San Diego Zoo and a number of theme parks including Busch Gardens, Sesame Place and Water Country USA.
