An experimental feature from the Gmail Labs team has "graduated" from beta, as Google has announced Offline Gmail is now becoming a regular part of Gmail.

By installing Offline Gmail, you can use the normal Gmail interface to read and write mail, search, and organise, even when there's no internet connection.

Meanwhile, "Flaky Connection" mode speeds up Gmail when your connection is slow or unreliable.

Offline Gmail was introduced in Labs almost a year ago and feedback from users has led to improvements, making the experience smoother, says Google.

For those already using the feature, nothing will change, but those that want to start using it need to go to "Settings" in Gmail, click the "Offline" tab and select "Enable Offline Mail for this computer".
