Facebook on Wednesday announced its Q2 2013 earnings, and the spike in numbers reveals that the social network continues to build momentum and dominate the mobile space.

Facebook passed 819 million mobile monthly active users in Q2 - and those mobile users made up 41 pe rcent of Facebook’s total ad revenue. Specifically, mobile daily active users were 469 million on average for June 2013, and they brought in $656 million in total ad revenue.

The company just reported 751 million mobile monthly active users in May, accounting for 30 per cent or $375 million in total ad revenue. Today's earnings report is the third consecutive quarter in which mobile users accessed Facebook more than desktop users.

Facebook has clearly experienced an increase in mobile growth, supporting the theory that consumers are continuing to use mobile devices for web browsing over PCs and Macs.
