Facebook for iOS adds verified check marks for celebrities and brands

Facebook updated its iOS app on Wednesday, incorporating the verified check mark feature that it previously rolled out for web in May.
Facebook initially launched Verified Pages on the web for celebrities, high-profile people and businesses. A small, blue check mark appears on profiles to indicate that Facebook has verified them as authentic. The check mark - which looks practically identical to Twitter's verified badge - is visible beside profile names on timelines, in search results and elsewhere on the social network.

With today's update to Facebook for iOS, mobile users can now find verified celebrities, public figures and brands while on the go by looking for the blue check mark next to profile names. The app update also includes improved places editing to fix categories, phone numbers and other information on the iPad. There's even a fix for when the News Feed loaded slowly for some users.
The latest version of Facebook for iOS is now live on Apple's App Store.
