Apple's recently launched Snow Leopard operating system has received its first software update on Thursday as Apple moves to fix a number of bugs experienced by those who opted to update from day one.

The new software update, version 10.6.1 weights in at just 9.6MB and is "recommended for all users running Mac OS X Snow Leopard"

According to Apple, the update includes "general operating system fixes that enhance the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac, including fixes for:"

Detailed fixes include "some printer compatibility drivers not appearing properly in the add printer browser."

The download is available via the Apple website or via the "Update software" feature in the OS.
