Along with SanDisk and Lexar, Eye-Fi has opted to increase the data transfer speeds offered by its range of memory cards.

An update will be released on 05 October and will double the speed of the card's wireless transfer from 350Kbps to 700Kbps.

The bumped up speeds will be a feature of new cards as well as being an update for those who already own Eye-Fi products.

But the Eye-Fi range is special as the cards also include built-in Wi-Fi access so you can shoot then send your images straight from your memory card.

And now, taking advantage of this ability, Eye-Fi has announced three new services its snappers will soon be able to access.

Customers simply have to use the updated Eye-Fi Manager Web application, and they will be able to access a new Web Sharing service - for sending snaps directly from their camera to more than 20 online photo sharing, printing, social networking or blogging sites using a wireless network.

This service costs $9.99 for a year.

Next up is the geotagging tool for $14.99 a year.

Last up, for $14.99, you can get Hotspot access to be able to use more than 10,000 Wayport hotspots and open hotspots.

Eye-Fi has also announced that owners of its cards can now upload images direct to two new websites - Apple's MobileMe and AdoramaPix.
