UK and Ireland users will now be able to pull their purchased movies from iTunes in the Cloud to all their compatible devices, as Apple rolls the service out to 37 new countries.

It’s the first time non-US iTunes users have been privy to the service that sees any movie bought through iTunes being able to be downloaded to any iOS device, Apple TV or computer.

The expansion means consumers will be able to buy a movie from iTunes, watch it on their iPad while travelling home from work, then find it waiting for them to finish viewing at home on their Apple TV - all without having to sync up their devices.

According to Macrumours, some UK customers are having difficulty re-downloading movies they have already purchased, but Apple has been made aware of the issue.

Movies join music, music videos, TV shows, apps and books as other formats that can be re-downloaded from iTunes in the Cloud.
