Apple pushes new iPad pre-orders back

He who hesitates is always lost, as the phrase goes, and that's kinda what you'll be going through in the US when they go on sale on 3 April, if, that is, you cogitated over whether or not to buy an iPad.
While reports are trickling through that the company is already starting to ship the new device out to customers around the country, those still looking to jump on the iPad bandwagon and pick one up will now have to go to the store and hope on Saturday.
Apple is claiming on its website that new orders won't be shipped until 12 April, 9 days after the first batch go out.
Likewise reports online suggest that you can't reserve the new internet tablet in store either, to guarantee collection first thing over the weekend.
Apple hasn't officially stated how many iPad's have been sold, although estimates predict it will be between 150,000 and 250,000.
The early bird really does catch the worm it seems.
