Apple tries, but fails to give away Christmas tracks
Apple was hoping you'll embrace some Yule-tide cheer this year by offering eight free Christmas, or should we say "Holiday", tracks on its iTunes store in the UK, however the system currently seems to be giving errors.
The iTunes Holiday Sampler (iTunes link) lets you "Embrace the season of good tidings with eight free holiday tracks", according to Apple, but people trying to download the free Christmas cheer are currently only being greeted by error messages.
The sampler should let users check out the new LP feature and most likely entice them into buying more in the future. The newly launched feature lets users browse through photos and lyrics, read about the artists, and more.
The offer, which is on until the 17 December, features artists such as Glasvegas, Aretha Franklin and Charlotte Church.
You will have to upgrade to iTunes 9 to benefit from the free tracks.
