Amazon Prime Music service has gone live with over a million songs and accompanying iOS and Android apps.

The much rumoured service from Amazon will be available to members of its Prime service which also includes faster deliveries and streaming videos.

Although the service is exclusive to Amazon Prime members a free trail is available for up to 30 days. There are currently over 1 million songs available to stream and listen to. Although out of the top 10 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 there are 9 not available. All that equates to around 90,000 albums available to listen to right now for subscribers.

The service is unlimited and is advert-free for those that pay the $99 per year Prime fee. Though at this very early stage it appears to be US only.

The service revolves around playlists with pre-mixed lists populating the app, rather than focusing on search.

Prime Music allows for offline listening with unlimited track storage locally.

We've contacted Amazon for more details, especially UK specific ones, and will update this story when we hear more.
