Zigview has launched the S2 Live, which takes the original Zigview S2, introduced at PMA 2007, to the next level.

Both devices are camera accessories that function like a remote control unit, yet with an integrated viewfinder LCD monitor. The difference between the older version and the newer version however, is that the Zigview S2 Live takes its image from the AV port of the camera, enabling it to make use of the Live View function of many DSLRs.

Of course to get this, it means your camera needs to have the Live View function. If it doesn't though, panic not. There is a separate camera head available that can be adapted to the camera's viewfinder, making Zigview S2 Live compatible with cameras without Live View.

There are a number of settings on the 230k pixel LCD that can be adjusted as necessary. You can rotate the image by 180°, adjust the brightness and change the image to black and white.

There is also a four-step zoom function and the possibility to overlay various style patterns, straight from the Zigview S2 Live.

In addition, the Zigview S2 Live offers all the release features which are known from the digital viewfinder, such as interval shooting, bulb shooting with fixed or variable time, and motion sensing.

Zigview S2 Live can currently be used with the following cameras: Canon 450D, 40D, 1D MkIII, 1Ds MkIII, Nikon D3, D300, D700, D90, Sony Alpha 350, and Alpha 300.

The Zigview S2 Live is available now. Visit the Intro 2020 website for stockist details.
