The finalists in the Take a View photography competition are all set to have their work mounted in an exhibiton at London's National Theatre next month.
Now in its second year, the Take a View competition challenged photographers to capture the "diversity and beauty" of the British landscape, with categories for urban, rural and conceptual landscapes.
Thousands entered, and each was judged by a panel of photography experts, headed up by leading landscape photographer Charlie Waite.
Just over 100 were chosen to appear in the exhibition, which is set to take place between 18th November 2008 and 17th January 2009, and will be printed by Epson who has co-sponsored the event.
Acclaimed landscape photographer Charlie Waite, founder of Take a View, said, "Having seen the standard of this year's entries first hand, I cannot wait to see the exhibition. The National Theatre is an amazing venue and the support we have received from Epson will help to ensure that the winning images are seen at their very best."
There are a number of prizes to be won, but the overall winner will be awarded the prestigious title, Landscape Photographer of the Year 2008, as well as £10,000. Very nice too.
