Three of NASA's old space shuttles, Discovery, Atlantis and Endeavour, are to be up for grabs in a few year's time.

The space agency is currently calling for ideas as to how and where to best display the shuttles when they get retired in a few years time.

NASA estimates the cost to get each shuttle ready and transported could reach around $42 million.

The agency is looking to universities and science museums who will be able to display the shuttles in an appropriate climate-controlled environment.

One of the three is confirmed to be heading to the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum in Washington, but two are yet to find homes. Any takers?
