Datawind, the company that offers the Pocketsurfer devices, is planning to launch a full netbook, it has been revealed.
And, perhaps more of interest, like the handheld gadget the company produces, the netbook may also offer unlimited web browsing.
The company's chief operating officer David Elder told Electric Pig: "We're heading down that road. Next year you'll see a netbook product".
Elder did not reveal specs for the future device, but did state: "I think we need to make a form factor differentiation - we’ll offer a decent size of screen".
"Right now we’re in negotiations with prospective manufacturing partners. People are very excited, it would be ridiculous of us not to enter (the netbook market)."
The netbook will be "contractless" and likely to offer unlimited usage with the company offsetting the data costs by advertising.
