Just 3 months after the last version of OpenOffice was made available, version 2.0.3 is ready for download.

The release patches some security holes and adds a selection of new features, and it's recommended that current 2.0.2 users upgrade to pre-empt exploitation of known flaws.

Performance overall has been enhanced, with Calc seeing an improvement of up to 23%, and compatibility with Microsoft Office has been improved.

The software now includes e-mail integration features so that users can send emails in Microsoft file formats, and there's more control over the display of exported PDFs.

There's also increased language support, improvements in hyphenation and the thesaurus, support for Intel architecture in Mac OS X, and a built-in check for updates to the program.
