Advent has launched a new wireless-enabled Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 system called the Advent MC3040.

The Advent MC3040 will be powered by the Intel Pentium 4 515 processor (2.93GHz clock speed, 533 MHz Front Side Bus, 1MB cache), 512MB DDR RAM, 160GB Serial ATA hard disk, 16x dual layer DVD Re-Writer, 128MB NVidia 5200 graphics card, 802.11g WiFI, 17in flat panel TFT monitor, 56k modem, 5.1 sound, Advent wireless keyboard and mouse, Microsoft Works 8.0 and a 12 months on-site warranty.

The Advent MC3040 is available now and will cost £799.99.

PC World has recently created a number of "zones" within its superstores. The Zones focus on four key digital media applications: music, video, photos and TV. The idea is that through a combination of live demonstrations, advice from store staff, 'how-to' guide booklets and display areas the company will be able to better inform its customers.
