After Tim Howard's incredible acts of goalkeeping heroism during the USA/Belgium World Cup match the internet has exploded with amusing Photoshopped pictures of other things he could save.

The Everton goalie made a remarkable 16 saves in the game, thwarting Belgium time and time again. And while they were sadly not enough to stop the European team from winning in extra time, they did earn him the man of the match award. People around the world, not just Americans have highly praised him ever since.

His actions have also sparked a meme that has swarmed over Twitter. Using the hashtag #ThingsTimHowardCouldSave, posters have been adding Howard to pictures in an amusing fashion and we've collated some of the best for you here. Our particular favourite is a topical post from the official Wimbledon account, with the keeper saving a return from Nick Kyrgios, the unseeded 19-year-old who knocked Nadal out of the tournament. There are plenty of other good ones too, including one that F1 star Lewis Hamilton posted.
