Pandora is now available on Windows Phone in the US, five months after Microsoft said it was working to bring the music-streaming service to the platform.

The new app, available from today, will come with ad-free support until 31 December 2013 and let you pin Live Tiles of your favourite personalised radio stations to your start screen - neither of which are available in the iPhone and Android versions of the app.

Furthermore taking advantage of the Kid's Corner feature the app will also automatically filter explicit song content when used in the dedicated area on the phone.

The app joins Spotify, Nokia Music, and others in the battle to play your tunes on the operating system, which shows that it's finally starting to get some traction. Next stop Instagram.

The app is not available in the UK.
