Warner Bros. has announced that, following a successful trial renting The Dark Knight on Facebook, it is expanding the rental options to five more blockbuster movies.

From the official pages of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s/Philosopher's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Inception, Life as We Know It and Yogi Bear, you can now use your Facebook Credits to stream the movies right on your desktop.

The press release from Warner Bros. doesn't state how many credits are needed exactly, and we're unable to see for ourselves as it's purely US based for now - but if The Dark Knight is an indication than expect to see them priced at around 30 Credits.

50 Facebook Credits costs £3.12 in the UK, with a discount applying if you buy in bulk - 4,720 Credits costs £249.48.

“We’re pleased to expand our test with a variety of titles that will appeal to a broad audience,” said Thomas Gewecke, president of Warner Bros. Digital Distribution. “These titles have substantial followings on Facebook.

You get access to your rented movie for 48 hours and you can still poke away, or update your status whilst you're watching.

The new choices are available in the States now - no word on a UK release as of yet.
