Pentax’s new flagship DSLR offers up a host of tasty treats for the high-end or advanced amateur user it’s designed to entice. An excellent specification and massive range of compatible Pentax K-mount lenses plus new weatherproofed kit optics all makes the K-7 look like a super camera

Verdict
Like many big zoom cameras that try and do it all, there’s as much here to delight as disappoint. The wider creative possibilities offered by that broader focal range shouldn’t be underestimated, and, once used, going back to that 3x zoom compact will seem tough

The K200D boasts a mid-range specification in a budget model DSLR body and has some neat improvements over its K100D forbear. Image quality is great and, just like the K100D, bar some minor quibbles, overall it is excellent
