- While it’s difficult to know who the GH1 will presently appeal to given its semi-pro price tag, the hybrid camera performs well and is more than pleasant to use

- Marrying a simple HD ready resolution with 100Hz tech, a simple user system and a SD Card slot makes this 32-incher ideal for anyone just not interested in Full HD. It seems pricey, but online discounts are sure to follow

- Zoom disabled in video, not Full HD, white balance performance variable, lower light affects reliability of iA, lens surround prone to scuffs and scratches over time
- Verdict
- Ultimately the feeling you’re left with after handling the FX40 is, whilst perfectly acceptable viewed standalone, there’s simply not enough about it to stand out from the crowd

- The Panasonic Lumix DMC LX3 is a beautiful little camera that offers a host of features including MEGA O.I.S, Panasonic’s optical image stabilising technology and a superb lens. The Lumix LX3 may just be the most complete digital compact for enthusiasts yet, and I want one
