Solid feel construction, vari-angle LCD, better results at higher ISOs than we’ve witnessed from competing brands (if staying at or below ISO 3200)
      The Bad
Standard definition video, still priced the same as an entry level DSLR (albeit a cheaper option than buying DSLR plus lens with equivalent focal range)
      Verdict
Solid feel contender for enthusiastic amateurs wanting a more portable back up for their existing DSLR, without sacrificing too much in the way of manual control. Shame no HD video though, and the price may cause eyes to water

      Verdict
The EX-H10 offers fair value for those wanting a bigger than average zoom but a smaller, pocket-sized camera. However, if image quality is the main concern, and we’re being picky, better results are to be had elsewhere

      The Bad

      Verdict
An accomplished and well-equipped semi-professional camera with professional build and specification that’s capable of stunning results and at high resolution too. It looks expensive, but as a step down from canon EOS 1D Mk III, it makes a lot of sense indeed and without that much of a compromise on performance. This is simply a superb new EOS and one that should be a hot contender for your cash

      Pentax X70 digital camera

3.5 Does this compact 24x zoom bridge camera get closer to perfection? 16 September 2009 9:00 GMT
      The Good
Big zoom capability from relatively compact dimensions, easy to use intuitive operation for the most part, good results achievable shooting handheld if plenty of light available
      The Bad
Plasticy build, resolution drops when choosing faster capture setting, no RAW capture option, disappointing results at ISO 800 and above, zoom disabled when shooting video
      Verdict
Like many big zoom cameras that try and do it all, there’s as much here to delight as disappoint. The wider creative possibilities offered by that broader focal range shouldn’t be underestimated, and, once used, going back to that 3x zoom compact will seem tough

      Verdict
Though priced at a premium, for those who value both style and substance the T90 makes for a happy compromise, if no great advancement from previous Cyber-shots
    • Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX40 digital camera. Cameras, Compact cameras, Digital cameras, Panasonic, 12 megapixels 0

Robust construction, 5x optical zoom, user-friendly set-up and operational menus, fast and responsive
      The Bad
Zoom disabled in video, not Full HD, white balance performance variable, lower light affects reliability of iA, lens surround prone to scuffs and scratches over time
      Verdict
Ultimately the feeling you’re left with after handling the FX40 is, whilst perfectly acceptable viewed standalone, there’s simply not enough about it to stand out from the crowd

      The Bad
