LG is preparing to launch a new range of televisions in the UK under the "Seamless Entertainment" banner.

With the advertising campaign kicking off now, the range will be officially revealed at a launch event on 12 November.

As well as being super slim with a thin bezel and offering LED technology, LG is hoping to capture consumer's credit cards with a new gimmick - Bluetooth connectivity.

Hit play to see the new advert, that appears to suggest society's constraints will melt away with the purchase of a flatscreen telly, and we'll bring you more on the 12th.

The inPulse "smartwatch" wristwatch for BlackBerry has been officially launched by Allerta, a Waterloo, Ontario-based company working with RIM on the new hardware.

As with similar wrist-based Bluetooth efforts, the inPulse connects wirelessly to the phone and offers alerts for incoming emails, SMS and calls.

"inPulse extends the functionality of your BlackBerry smartphone, so when you're in a pinch you can check your inPulse instead of fumbling around with your phone", says Allerta.

What's being described as a "limited first edition" (which hopefully doesn't mean "buggy") inPulse watch can be pre-ordered now for $149 over at www.freeupyourhands.com.

Your Wi-Fi-enabled gadgetry is about to get a whole lot more connected thanks to a new specification just announced by the Wi-Fi Alliance.

We say new, technically it was previously known as Wi-Fi peer-to-peer, however, it is now due with the shiny new moniker of "Wi-Fi Direct", in a device near you in mid-2010.

"Devices will soon be able to connect in a new way that makes it more simple and convenient than ever to do things like print, share and display", says the Alliance.

"The Wi-Fi Alliance is nearing completion of a new specification to enable Wi-Fi devices to connect to one another without joining a traditional home, office, or hotspot network".

Wi-Fi Direct, which will directly rival Bluetooth, as well as to a lesser extent MiFi solutions, can be implemented in any Wi-Fi device, from mobile phones, cameras, printers, and notebook computers, as well as the likes of keyboards and headphones.

Devices will be able to make a WPA-secure, one-to-one connection, or a group of several devices connect simultaneously - including older Wi-Fi certified gadgets.

A company called Secu4 has launched an alarm system that aims to prevent loss or theft of your property. It's about the size of a credit card and maintains a connection with your phone at all times.

You can set a range of 1 to 30 metres, if the distance between your phone and your bag, or whatever, is crossed, then the user gets an alert on their phone and a 100dB alarm is triggered on the device.

You can recharge the batteries by USB cable, or with a USB travel charger. There's a video of the device in action above, complete with charmingly halting English from the company's CEO Ralph Rimet.

The device is available now from MindYourIT, and it costs ?50. It won't work with every single phone, but you can check if yours will work by having a look at the list on secu4.com.

Jabra has announced the Cruiser - a new Bluetooth 2.1 in-car speakerphone system.

The Cruiser is the first speakerphone to use "Dual Microphone" tech, that Jabra claims eliminates background noise and cancels out any echo, so users can call regardless of how busy the roads are.

There's also "Voice Announcements" where the speakerphone will access the address book to speak the name of the caller, or the read the number aloud if it's not a contact.

The voice feature will also guide users through the pairing process and announce battery and connectivity status clearly and concisely which is also shown via the "StatusDisplay", a multi-colour lighting system.

The Jabra Cruiser can also play MP3s stored on a mobile through the speakerphone, and through the car stereo thanks to the built-in FM transmitter with the music auto-fading as a call comes in.

Finally, multiuse connectivity means that two Bluetooth devices can be paired simultaneously while auto pairing offers instant usability.

Battery life is up to 14 hours of talk time and up to 300 hours of standby. The new Crusier will be available this winter for ?99.00.
