Pakuma Choroka K3It laptop bag review

Will this keep your bag safe on your travels

3 January 2008 11:00 GMT / By Stephen Patrick

When it comes to carrying your notebook around, you can either opt for the safe and business like briefcase, or you can go cool and urban. Something like the Choroka K3lt fits the second choice perfectly. It's available in two colours; either Chilli red and white or Deep Sea Blue and white, with both standing out from the crowd.

Large enough to fit a notebook up to 15.4-inches in size, this messenger bag has been designed for all weathers as it comes with a coating that is the same as used for heavy weather tarpaulin.

This coating gives the bag a glossy finish that looks a bit like your doing your paper-round but it does mean the bag is waterproof so will protect whatever is inside in the worst of the British weather.

The shoulder strap is seriously heavy duty and is extremely well-padded. It's firmly attached to the main body and feels as though it will support a good deal of weight. The buckles and stitching proved first-rate and overall we found it hard to fault the quality of this bag.

Inside, you'll find a large main compartment for all your essential kit along with a padded section for your notebook. Pakuma call this section the "Coccoon" as it holds and protects your notebook, which we found it certainly did when we used it out on the road.

The only problem we had with this bag was the weight, at close to 1.5kg, it's not something you'll want to carry a large notebook in too often.

Verdict

Overall, the Pakuma K3lt has a style all its own that you'll either love or loathe and while it's a little big for the daily commute, we found it a great bag to use.
