Huawei hit a home run this year when it partnered with Google to launch the beautifully-constructed Nexus 6P, and now it's taken that same device and gave it a new coat of paint. Gold paint, to be specific.

At CES 2016 in Las Vegas, Huawei unveiled a matte gold version of the phone that we once described as the best Nexus phone to date. This phone is landing in the US, though it was already available in Japan and India. Apart from those two countries, people across the world have been limited to the aluminum (silver), graphite (black), and frost (white) variants. Starting 5 January however, Americans get the choice of matte gold too.

The gold-coloured Nexus 6P will be available in 32GB and 64GB models for $499 and $800, respectively. You'll be able to buy it at, select Best Buy retail stores, and the Google Store, of course. Keep in mind this new phone is absolutely identical on the inside to the other colours.

We're just looking at a new paint job. Still, it's a total beaut.
