Hewlett-Packard has a wide variety of new products coming for the holiday season 2015, including laptops, 2-in-1s, tablets, and even the officially licensed Special Edition Star Wars Notebook. It also has a wide desktop PC in the shape of the Envy Curved All-in-One, which is quite simply stunning in the flesh.

Our quick take

Is the HP Envy Curved All-in-One the sexiest desktop PC in the world? Spoiler alert

FORAGAINST

For us, HP has managed to replicate the feeling we had when we first saw the current iMac. The Curved All-in-One has that wow factor, although it also has a whole lot more.

The 21:9 WQHD+ display (2880 x 1620) which is plenty sharp enough up close. It has a screen size of 34-inches and the 200cm curved radius means it perfectly wraps around your field of vision, helping to immerse you in the on-screen action when you are playing a game or watching a film.

The superwide aspect is also utilised cleverly for practical reasons, with Windows 10's snap functionality meaning you can have multiple screens open in 100 per cent zoom views and work without compromise. We tried it with a word package, a browser window and could still watch a video in the corner without needing to minimise any of our work (potentially).

It's not just visuals that impress, the All-in-One also comes with six speakers built into the chassis, which includes two tweeters and an audio system tuned by Bang & Olufsen. It can also recline up to 25-degrees to make sitting in front of it as comfortable to a user as possible.

On the rear there are two USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports, alongside an HDMI out to connect a second, remote monitor. There is also a LAN Ethernet port.

Arranged on the bottom of the PC is a 3-in-1 media card reader and another two USB 3.0 ports for good measure.

The PC is also great for gaming, with the option of including Nvidia GeForce 960A graphics, and it can be spec'ed with an Intel i5 or i7 6th generation processor (Skylake).

Other options include a 128GB SSD, upto 2TB of HDD storage, and 8GB or 16GB of RAM.

But speed and functionality aside, it is its sheer size and sexiness that impresses first up. We only had a brief play with one at HP's Barcelona launch event, but came away wanting one immediately.

That will likely have to wait, at least on our own part, considering its £2,000 price tag, but if you are not deterred by the cost, it will be available to buy from November.
