  • First of all, no multi-touch is frustrating? That's telling us more about you than about the phone. Double-tapping is easier than pinch-zooming in my opinion.

Second, the HTC Hero doesn't even have a proximity sensor. Making calls is very annoying because you have to make sure you dont touch the screen with your cheeck.

Third, if you dont like the qwerty-keyboard, don't use it, there is also the onscreen keyboard. But at least you have to option to slide it open and use hardware keys.

  • Not a fan of phones with a slide mechanism, especially now there are full touch screen phones (finally) available and with full functionality.

Even the few extra buttons at the bottom of phones like the HTC's seem a pointless waste of space, stylistically and in my opinion ideologically - based on what a sleek yet robust cutting edge touch screen phone should/could be about.

These slide qwerty phones only give me a few negative doubts about a phone like perhaps the touch screen and OS aren't good enough to be used solely compared to competitors (some market leaders) without; or more moving parts could mean more opportunities for breakage.

Pandering to consumers unwilling to change / embrace new technology seems a misguided waste of everyone's time and money.

  • even I am starting to become bored with my iphone. Will someone please catch up and match it. Posted by Mark Perrin, uk
  • I think the Droid is the future, It has all u need for phone/multimedia device/ navigating system etc. I just cant see any cons besides that Apple came first while Motorola had the technology 2 years prior Apple thinking to enter the phone business. Droid is superior phone in comparison with iPhone on multidimensional level. The sound is better (just the phone no accessories even then the Droid outperforms the iPhone), the UI ,the apps are in majority free, while iPhone apps for equal on Droid have to pay. The resolution blowing off the iphone out of the water. the navigating system is superb. i think will stop here.
Apple has just slick design and nothing more
Sorry Apple it is Motorola time now

  • I had the Casio Exilim had nothing but problems with that fought with verizon for a month until they finally admitted there was a problem and took it back. Now I get a Droid which I love but it too has issues. There's alot of skipping somepeople cant understand me and I only get half of what others are saying. The facebook shortcut is garbage you don't get all the updates on facebook. I have to open up the browser and go to facebook that way. I went to Verizon and once again they tell me there is nothing wrong with this phone even after letting him hear a phone call to my wife who was skipping very badly. I think if they don't get this resolved I'm going to look into legal ramifications. These deceptive practices need to be stoppped. I just may switch to AT&T. Posted by Brett, usa
