An insightful comment IT Guy. Learnt is very common in British English and is the same as "learned".

  • "Sometimes it breaks my heart to be an American" Pip, if you were an American with any pride you'd keep stupid comments like that to yourself. It takes all types or do you think all Europeans are classy and well spoken?

  • There should be some schooling here that favors, or favours some dangerously left-behind individuals here. Or is it that it skipped you that learnt and learned are two ways of putting in past tense, the word "learn"-- one is British and the other is North American. Apparently, as some British may savour, British is much older.

So, let us put it together, say whatever you wish as long as it does not sound like this: I learn that

  • What is the review about, the person's grammer or the machine? We all know what is meant. Posted by tab, USA
  • I'm an American and I'm from the school that everybody can't be perfect and 100% knowledgeable about everything. At most, I pretty much just expect most people to be somewhat decent about most things and understand that “the more ya know, the more ya know ya don’t know”! It’s somewhat difficult for me to drudge through a review or article if there is poor spelling, grammar or verb tense but in the case of this article I wasn’t hindered whatsoever. The point got across well, the review was deep enough for me to understand the basics of the new machine and the message was presented quite comfortably.

Life is way too short to get upset over minuscule trivialities. I just hope people don’t throw darts at me for my minor errors such as what could be conceived in this presentation.

Thanks for the review - I Luv’d it!!!

  • If there was a hacker war between the Aspire One and Wind breaker! I would take My Mac a fee berger and go for cover behind the Acer's fire wall and shut the door! Good oh USA!

(The best joke I can about the Wind note book!)

  • jesus, what a saddo! what languge do you speak? english, as in from england. who the hell cares. actually in britain learnt is more generally acceptable. also i am typing this on my lovely little msi wind. i really like it as it happens. Posted by emily, england
  • msi wind...i love it...!!!...you can try. Posted by huynh ngoc loi, vietnam
  • I see the MSI Wind Notebook is rated for 2GB ... but there's no panel to access the memory slots. I'm a bit leery about removing the 8 screws on the bottom to release the keyboard. Anyone added memory to it? How? And since it comes with 1GB, is that 2x512MB, or is there a spare memory slot?

BTW, I'm using it for on-site programming fixes with Visual Studio 2008, MSDE 2005 and Office 2007 ... it handles these just fine.

  • OK, first... its not that big a deal how people talk.
Second, I got the Wind for Christmas and I just love it. All my friends have these big bulky laptops and when they see my little Wind, they get VERY jealous. There's just one problem: there isn't a CD/DVD drive on these machines, right? I don't think so, and if it is, then MSI hid it quite well. I've been looking for days.

  • ok gopher.
First there is a back pannle to get to the ram, its the back pannle i know its not good but its what we've got how ever they tend to put the warrenty sticker over one of the screws.

Second. you dont need to remove the keyboard to get to the ram as it, like the HD, is facing downwards due to how they have fitted the MB.

Third. it takes STD DDR400 laptop memory and it is fitted with 1 stick of 1GB STD.

also ive got it dual booting to vista ^^ it handles it ok but can be laggy in parts if anyone wants me feedback about it taking vista let me know

  • Looks promising! I would love to see some high res pics of it. I would also like to see some of the local stores carry one so that I can actually pick it up.

Oh, and Spiritseer, it's McAfee (typically pronounced "mac a fee" in the US) Google it before trying to correct people! And he was making a joke you arrogant prick.
