Quick review

The good: Sturdy construction, intuitive operation, broad focal range allows for a wider variety of creative choices
The bad: Priced the same as an entry level DSLR (albeit cheaper than one coupled with a lens with the equivalent focal range), standard definition video
Verdict: A jack-of-all-trades super zoom that whilst it may not offer the broadest range on the market, offers one of the best builds and a distinctive feature set none the less
Key specs: 12 megapixels, Li-ion battery, SD, SDHC

In these days of digital SLRs with interchangeable lenses, the idea of getting a simple digital camera with a wide and long-zoom fixed lens seems so archaic.

No, I don´t agree? Mr. Lim Alex.
Why to carry two or three lenses + body, so much kilograms, so much keeping.
One camera with super image quality (mainly on ISO 100) and super wide range focus lens is more better for pedestrian in nature.
And S200EXR or S100FS are super cameras.
