Quick review

The good
Tidy, comfortable design, wide range of custom controls, easy to set-up and configure, 30 meter range
The bad
Only really effective for presentations and media access, uncomfortable to use as a regular mouse
Verdict
The Air Mouse Go Plus offers an impressive degree of control but is only really useful in a handful of environments

  • Bought the previous air mouse. Used it regularly but after being dropped from hand held height onto a rubber floor, some buttons stopped working.
Now this cost me £60 and for that price I suspect something handheld you actively wave round in the air to be able to take the odd drop.
Also software tricky to set up I found with so many buttons on the mopuse you kept on activating the wrong ones.
A great idea but if microsoft had made this, the software would have been bulletproof...and so would the mouse construction quality!
Also, does not 'auto power off' so you put it down, a few hours later batteries are totally dead, even when using high capacity rechrageables.
And all that airwipe stuff can make things mighty confusing when you think you just turned a page and it actually skips a chapter!
This new one might be better but I am not going to risk the sale.
On the plus side it was awesonely impressive using it to move and operate 3D CAD from a distance as a demo, and for presentations but be aware that the mouses own editing screen whiteboard software can be tricky to use well.
I know I am talking about the old version, but it is rare to find a shop that stocks these and rarer still you would ever get to try it so other peoples opinions count!
