• My parents have one of these, and you'd really be shocked how noisy they are. The reviewer is not just using exaggeration for effect here - it really is a noisy little blighter! Bright side though is the speed - another downside is that is still takes up as much kitchen surface real estate as a kettle, and if you need both (as you will) this can cause space issues... • This just appears to be a clone of the Tefal Quick Cup that has been around for more than a year (at least I've had one that long). The only real difference appears to be the base that provides somewhere for spillage to go. It's priced almost identically to compete too. Posted by GK, UK
• I've had a tefal quick cup which went wrong and tefal wouldn't replace and so decided to try the breville one cup and it is brilliant - far superior to the tefal - the water comes out boiling and makes a proper cup of tea - or should I say mug as it does only have one quantity 250ml!!! A good excuse to go out and buy some new mugs however!! I think it's a great little machine and am very pleased with my purchase - lets hope it lasts longer than the tefal model I had!!!
