  • I have the original CX-300 and the are easily the best headphones I've ever had and I've been through a few as I always felt whichever ones I had just weren't up to scratch. Until I bought the Sennheisers, I couldn't find an 'in-ear' option from anyone that was comfortable; having different sizes is the sensible solution on offer here. Outside noise is blocked extremely well - just be careful whilst crossing roads ;-)

Not sure if the new version merits an upgrade from the old ones at £45 but for anyone looking to ditch the 'phones that came with their MP3 player and get something that does it justice, look no further.

  • Bought some cheaper in ear phones for £20...they were rubbish. Took them back and got these. They rock :-) Posted by Chris, UK
  • My original cx 300 broke so I bought these for replacement. They are pretty much the same great in ear phones they used to be, though there cleary is some more detail in sound. They're still very bass heavy so everyone might not like them though. Posted by Green, Finland
  • I have the original CX300s as well (from 2007 actually) They have worked perfectly all this time until a few months ago when the short cable got caught on something whilst I was on the Tube so it's now mono. For the record, these have been caught lots of times, but I guess this time was the last straw - really durable set.

Now I'm wondering what to get, because the supposedly better CX500s are now retailing for around the same price as the CX300-ii, but unfortunately it's a symmetrical build instead of the asymmetrical CX300 range.
