Quick review

The good
Easy set-up, good photo print quality, good text output, nice scans
The bad
Slow print speeds, poor copy quality, random paper jam alerts (even when there are not any), odd maintenance "timeouts" stall the printer, black ink drops out when copying, problems with black in coverage even after software driver update
Verdict
Kodak’s ESP 9 provides a neat and relatively compact solution for those needing a printer, scanner, copier and fax in one device. Low ink costs and good print quality are hampered by some very odd functional problems however
Key specs
CompactFlash, Ethernet, MemoryStick, SD, SDHC, USB, Wi-Fi, xD-Picture card

  • We recently purchased the ESP 7 (same but without the fax)
I agree with most of the comments made. Of course the main benefit is the running costs. We bought it in February and have printed a lot since then (both my daughters are at uni and print journal articles and essays constantly) and the cartridge is just under 1/2 full. Since the majority of things we print are documents, the quality is still excellent for our needs. It was extremely easy to set up and run and the wireless connectivity is brilliant, it means we can print straight from the laptop. We did have a problem with the phantom paperjam although it fixed itself and we haven't had any problems since. It does make a lot of random loud noises though!

  • I think Kodak has come up with very good printer where the scanner is located on the upper part. Up front, there is a control panel with a screen of 7.6 cm. It is the correct size. We can directly see the pictures without having to go through a computer using a USB or a memory card. The printer is an awesome solution to play at home or small to medium office, supported by different possibilities of connection and a console that is for the first time at home Kodak. This leaves the keys classics to go to touch screen technology. I would recommend you to read out this http://www.techarena.in/review/9357-kodak-esp-9-all-one-printer.htm , it's an very good article where you will get more information about this product.
