Quick review

The good
Places feature in iPhoto, image stabilisation feature in iMovie, Sting teaching you Roxanne in GarageBand
The bad
Faces didn't recognise us at all, not enough if you are a movie jetsetting musician
Verdict
Think refining an already good product rather than an all out show stopper

  • I don't think I'll buy this product until they figure a way to rework iMovie. That last upgrade was a disaster for me! Posted by Sarah, USA
  • According to the tutorials & features pages, iWeb '09 now has the option to publish via FTP (which it didn't have in iWeb '08). Not worth the price alone, of course, since there are decent free FTP clients available, but this is built-in to the app so it is a bit of added value if you're looking for ease of use.

Also you can speed up/slow down movie clips in iMovie '09 - which you used to be able to do in iMovie '06 before they removed it in the "up"grade to '08!

  • Hello.
    I found it just great.
    Loved it.
It was just fabulous! Really, really fantastic.

  • iMovie HD let users directly place movies into iDVD in their native format. iMovie 08' required you to have them compressed and sent to the media browser before you could use them in iDVD. The quality drastically fell because of this extra step. Does iMovie 09 let you use your imovie files directly with iDVD without having to send to the media browser?

Thanks to anyone who can let me know...
