Quick review

The good
Graphics, gameplay, choice
The bad
Spell menu difficult at times, not something you can play for 5 minutes, more a remake than a sequel
Verdict
Good fun that is sure to teach as well as give you hours of entertainment

  • ummm, no offense because it is a relativly good review but you got a lot of details wrong. You can be gay, their is even a side quest where you find a male companion for a gay farm boy who doesn't have the heart to tell his dad he doesn't like girls. In henchman mode you choose how gold and XP are split and when you play as a girl you still have an older sister. And although I agree the dog is not as useful as he could be he does finish off enemies you have knocked down and finds treasure for you... So all in all I think your review was a fair representation it sounds like you didn't really play the game for more than 15 minutes. Posted by Ross, United States of America
  • Thanks for your comment Ross, in the village i tried to "befriend' another man and it told me that there was no point taking the relationship further because he was of the same sex.

Re the older brother, you're right - i've changed the copy accordingly.

  • I do believe the man you try to chat up has to be receptive. Not every character in Albion is potentially gay, after some serious flirt/seduce spamming half of the thugs in Westcliff are in love with me, so you can be gay if you so choose, you just have to find a willing partner.

The dog is one of the most useful and innovative features in the game, he finds treasure, growls to alert you to nearby enemies, attacks fallen enemies and if you play with him in front of villagers it makes them like you more.

I'd agree with Ross, it's a nice concise review but only really representative of the first few hours of the game.
