Quick review

The good
12x optical zoom, allows you to capture 60fps stills and 1200 fps movies
The bad
Sluggish performance, large, high frame rate capture results in drop in image quality
Verdict
The camera might offer a fast capture speed and a long zoom, but the EX-F1 offers little else

  • I have had the EX-F1 since it was released, very impressed with the performance for the money, slow start up is not an issue for me. I'm somewhat baffled when you say the manual needs reading a couple of times as I personally find the interface very intuitive and have yet to refer to the manual, I take it you had upgraded the firmware to the latest version for the review as that makes a huge differance in performance.

Slow motion video is seriously impressive when played back on a large screen TV, picture quality is very good and the burst modes are amazing.

I'm very happy with my purchase and think its well worth the money.
