• The battery didn't last 3 hours so battery life was terrible!? I wiould be thrilled if my Toshiba X205 got even 1 and a half hours. I understand that there are notebooks with 5,6,9, even more than 15 hours of battery life. But to say that just under 3 hours is horrible batter life is a bit of a stretch. Was that on the 6-cell or 9-cell battery. If it was on the 6-cell battery, 2 hours, 45 minutes is the norm. And, if it got almost 3 hours of battery life on the 6-cell battery, then the 9-cell battery should provide 5 or 6 hours of battery life, which I'd consider outstanding. Posted by SpeakerGeek, USA

  You're trying to tell a website that reviews over 100 laptops a year just what the average battery life is, based on your experience with a tatty old Toshiba laptop?
  
  I haven't seen one laptop in the past two years that offers less than three hours battery life - the average is actually around four. Posted by dave, uk
