  • I had the exact same problem, regarding installation of the software, it took me 2 days to get it to install without crashin and it still crashes when I try to set up the wireless. I am not pleased with the print quality either. Posted by Rhiannon Gent, United Kingdom
  • Only problem i have is intermittant printing fault on 2 page or more documents. Last page prints but other pages don't although on screen the print job is still shown as running. Nothing I do clears this except turning off the printer and my lap top then restarting. After a few minutes the stuck documents appear. Fault is intermittant but a pain nevertheless Posted by Les, UK
  • how do i get the inkjet cartridges into the Lexmark 4650, i didn't watch when it was installed, new to computers and printers. Posted by carol hinsley, england
  • I have just bought the X4650 and whilst pleased with the printer as a cheap wireless option it does have its faults. I found set up easy and it worked first time but the print quality is just acceptable (not as good as my old machine) and I have the same fault as reported before - on big documents the printer only prints the first part then just stops - you have to ask it to reprint the remaining document which is frustrating everything else works fine. • I have come to the conclusion that the wireless option on the Lexmark printers is useless. It has taken me hours to get it working, and now still only works when it feels like it.

I think I will stick to HP in future.

  • After reading all of the above reviews, I feel really lucky. I have experienced absolutely no problems with my printer....Plugged it in followed the wizard and am as happy as Larry! Posted by Thomas Kinnaird, newcastle england
  • I don't have a problem with it either.. It's a great machine for the price i paid- 75Euro. Posted by Noel, Ireland
  • Recently purchased in Lidl, easy to install, prints well, no problems so far! Very Happy as was an excellent price! Posted by J H, Ireland
  • The main problem with this printer is the cost of replacement cartridges. Seriously expensive from Lexmark and the machine is configured in such a way that it wont register re-fills. Also the cheap cartridge retailers IJT, castleink etc don't recognise the model, is it known as something else? Posted by Ian Wilson, United Kingdom
  • @ Ian Carter, I had the same problem. If you are using Vista you need to disable one of the security settings on your computer, which has no real effect on safety. After this it worked perfectly. I think it was the UAC setting though I can't really remember.

I paid £57 for this which is a lot cheaper than I have paid for worse printers. Wireless is a bonus on a printer at such a price.

    I'd give it 7/10
