• I have owned the system for 1 month now and I have to say i am extremely impressed with it.
  
  The system comes in a neat package, all white and well designed, similar to something from Apple.
  
  Installation was a doddle and I had the system up and running in no time. The few times I have needed to contact support, the level of assistance and the eagerness of them to help solve your problem was reassuring.
  
  Not only is it an alarm system, it also provides useful information via the website. All of the sensors have thermometers so you can monitor temperatures within the house. The way the keyfobs are designed is good too, making it possible to monitor comings and goings from the house and a good way of keeping an eye on the gardener !!
  
  Apparently there will be mayor updates in September, such as a device that will allow users to turn electrical devices on and off and audiable repeaters that will allow the alarms to be much louder.

• Being a embedded system engineer i think this system is hugely overpriced. The cost of manufacturing this zigbee system is more like 80 pounds and its being retailed at 399. Wow.
  
  Secondly, there is a loads of other similar alarm system on the market thats cheaper. (admittedly not zigbee, but who cares? zigbee is immature hence expensive currently)
  
  Thirdly, would you really paid 400 pounds for a device that DEPENDS on a service provided by a startup? Just like others home monitoring company, AlertMe will probably goes bankrupt in 2-3 years.
  You will be left with a product but without home monitoring service (even if you want to pay)
