Quick review

The good: Image quality, build, RAW shooting
The bad: Price, performance, handling, menus
Verdict: Simply the best image quality of any compact I’ve yet tested, but the price, performance and handling mean I suspect you’ll need to think long and hard to justify the outlay

A good attempt by Sigma, but does not quite hit the mark according to the majority of the reviews I have read.

I hope other camera manufacturers take the lead from Sigma and produce the ultimate compact that can compete with DSLRs in all situations. Only then will a camera like this be worth the high asking price.

However, if this happens it would signal the demise of the 'amateur' and maybe even the 'semi-pro' DSLR market segments. Posted by maccer, uk
