Quick review

The good
5 megapixel camera, music player, simple but solid design, 1GB microSD card in the box
The bad
No 3G, no optical zoom, no Xenon flash
Verdict
As a phone, the G600 is a solid number that doesn't push the boundaries, but then, is likely to appeal to many

  • Hi my name is Nadeem, I am a Graphic Designer. In my line of work a good image can make all the difference therefor I need a good source. When I bought my Samsung G600 recently I couldn't believe the quality of my photos it was exciting when I down loaded them. One good image could change my life if I could just capture that moment now that I have my high quality camera phone. I could shoot the image then Email it the the publisher who would then pay me millions and I would retire with my Samsung G600 by my side. I was wondering where all these freelance designers and photographers where coming from. They buy a Samsung and everybody is at it.
The Camera is nicely hidden away which as well as keeping it free from dust etc also protects the lens screen. It is also a strong, sturdy phone. I had a Samsung SGH-2200 Dual Band phone around 3 or 4 years ago and it was so strong and ahead of its time that I thought I would have it forever. I wanted nothing else I was happy. Now Ive got that same feeling with this phone. It has everything I require and more. Perks like the Mp3 player are definately a bonus but nothing beats this phone for sex appeal. But seriously I have been through so many phones lately from Nokia, Moterola, LG etc and no matter how expensive or fancy they were something always went wrong like the speaker or charging problems and the usual faulty buttons. But this phone is amazing quality when compared to others. I do highly reccomend it because you won't go wrong.

  • I got my phone 4 months ago. Used it only 2 weeks in total. ha ha ha. Kept on freezing. Took it back to Vodacom. They kept it 3 weeks and called me it is fixed. This will be know the 4th time I need to return the phone. Got it this morning back and it does not work. Just stay on one welcome to sumsung screen. NO REFUND! NO EXCHANGE! Why even bother paying all this money for something that does not work? This phone appealed to me cause of the camera and I have two kids. Always need to take a picture to remember. I am very disappointed in this phone and hate it and wished I never spend this money on it. DO NOT GET A PROBLEM PHONE!!!!! Posted by Julian Oosthuizen, South Africa
  • I have a problem with this cell. The camera sucks!!! I cannot believe the review guy said that this camera is as good as a sony cybershot series; there is no frigging way this cell could compare with a cybershot. The 5 MP camera is so dissappointing that im almost about to "sell my cell". I just bought it three months back and now found out that it sucks. If anyone knows how to solve this though please contact me on kameha_meha2002@yahoo.co.in Posted by Aditya, INdia
