Quick review

The good
Design, price, scan quality, QARE, bundled software
The bad
Flimsy and awkward to use FAU attachment, glass mounted 35mm slides not usable in FAU
Verdict
The CanoScan 4400F is a versatile and simple to use flatbed scanner and certainly worth a closer look

  • What about cropping? I'll crop my images in my photo program thank you. How can I get fine control over the cropping. Yes I'm putting them in the holder correctly (the long way parallel to the slide holder's long direction.)? I've set the software at 'none' cropping but that doesn't work. Still crops. • I have the same problem with cropping. Although only a few photo slides get cropped, I cannot see what is causing it and it happens every time on only certain slides. Does anyone out there have a solution ? Posted by Tony Devereux, UK
