Quick review

The good: A painfully accurate depiction of fractured family life that successfully mixes wicked black humour with moving drama, Michael Ardnt’s script savages the creepy American tradition of child beauty pageants, every one of the quirky ensemble cast gives memorable performances
The bad: A slightly thin special features package
Verdict: Much praise for this must go to the uniformly excellent ensemble cast
