Quick review

The good: Great magnesium-alloy build, compact and lightweight, excellent handling, great image quality, comprehensive level of specification
The bad: Large screen hampered in brighter conditions – viewing becomes difficult. The pop-up flash position means errant fingers can inadvertently hinder it
Verdict: The new digital model lives up to the reputation of its forbears and is stunning piece of kit
