UK gamers will surely hope this is some kind of misunderstanding, but reports are suggesting that the PSP Slim and Lite will launch incomplete in the UK.

By incomplete, we mean that the new handheld console from Sony will apparently hit shops on 14th September missing its two major selling points, apart from the slimmed down dimensions, the TV cable and different colour-ways.

If you remember back to the new PSP's launch, the TV cable, arguably the biggest new feature, lets you hook the PSP up to your television set so that you can enjoy movies and games on the big screen.

It appears for undisclosed reasons that when the new device is launched later this month, not only will there be no cable included in box, which was pretty much expected, but there will be no cables available to purchase full stop.

"An official spokesman for national retail chain GAME told GamesRadar that the cable, which is needed to play PSP games on a home TV set, would not be available at launch and that it was unknown when official units would arrive."

In addition to this, the UK will only see black models of the new PSP initially, rather than the fresh new colour-ways, ceramic white and ice silver, promised by Sony.
