IFA 2007: JVC launches DLA-HD100 high contrast projector

Industry's highest 30,000:1 native contrast ratio

JVC has launched the Premium D-ILA DLA-HD100, a full high definition D-ILA Home Theatre Projector that boasts the industry's highest 30,000:1 native contrast ratio.

JVC claim this beast of a projector produces deep, true black and rich, accurate colour.

This model expands JVC's line up of True Black ILA projectors, the DLA-HD1, launched back in February 2007 and impressive at the time had half the contrast ratio.

The new high end DLA-HD100 features enhanced 0.7-inch full HD D-ILA devices and optical engine to enable it to attain a native contrast ratio of 30,000:1 for super-smooth images and deep, true black level without a trace of grey.

The DLA-HD100 is compatible with the latest HDMI 1.3 specifications, which allow it to go from millions of colours to billions of colours and reproduce subtler shades of greyscale.

The 1080p resolution should mean amazing picture detail, thanks to 1080p resolution, and that much-mentioned contrast ratio for vividness and accuracy of colour.

Pricing and availability to be confirmed.
